Clayton Platt

After over 35 years of successfully leading teams in banking, wealth management, and not-for-profit fundraising, Clayton found his true calling nine years ago when he began facilitating virtual corporate training sessions. Shortly thereafter, he earned a certificate in the Foundations of NeuroLeadership, and helped train organizations in cutting-edge, brain-based leadership and communication skills. Along the way, Clayton has continued a daily Mindfulness Meditation practice that began over 22 years ago, and which inspired him to pursue certification as a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher. He completed the two-year intensive program led by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, supported by the Greater Good Science Center of the University of California at Berkley, in January 2021. Along the way, he has led over 150 weekly virtual meditation classes and continues to write a weekly blog around Mindfulness in Real Time.

Clayton joined Meditation4Leadership (M4L), a not-for-profit organization, as their president in the fall of 2020. Since that time, he has helped M4L broaden its exposure by introducing new clients, facilitating mindful leadership programs, delivering keynote presentations, and pursuing strategic alliances with like-minded training and development organizations. Clayton and his colleagues at M4L see meditation and mindfulness teaching as a critical and growing part of corporate wellness and leadership development initiatives. M4L teaches essential skills for individuals to cultivate greater awareness, connection, perspective, and potential in their lives, improve their professional and personal effectiveness, and thrive in adversity as well as good times.
